December 10th, 2022 – Our wedding day was perfect. It was a small and intimate wedding with our closest family and friends in attendance.
The day started with decorating The Dameverein Room at the Rathskeller. Michael’s mom and step-dad, my sister-in-law, and my mom and dad all helped us turn the room into a romantic Christmas wonderland.
My beautiful, kind, soul sister, Dawn made our flower arrangements and she did not disappoint! She is so talented and I could feel the love that was poured into making them. We chose to go with a cupcake tower for our cake. I’m so glad we did, it was perfect!
After we finished decorating, my sister-in-law and I headed off to Dry Bar for some pampering. The lovely Michelle Lynn worked her magic on my face. When Ethan first saw me right before the wedding he said, “You had a makeover!” He was so sweet.
Ethan was so happy to be part of the wedding. He even walked me down the aisle!
Our officiant, Victoria Meyer from Marry Me Indy was as wonderful as we hoped she would be. She conducted a beautiful ceremony with vows we had chosen. We chose Victoria for her inclusive philosophy and her obvious joy in marrying couples! I felt like she’d known us for years. We are so grateful she was part of our special day.
After the ceremony, we had a delicious hors d’oeuvres and cupcakes followed by toasts and dancing.
I think it became a contest to see who could get me to cry with their toasts. Michael won, of course.

Our Christmas wedding was everything we had dreamed of and more. It was a magical day filled with love, happiness, and the Christmas spirit. We will always cherish the memories of our special day, and we are grateful for our family and friends who made it unforgettable.
